sintesi italiano

sintesi inglese

The pupils in the Deledda school have at last become language teachers; as people say, one has to make a virtue of necessity! and this necessity exists in Genoa, considering that the considerable numbers of young Spanish mother tongue non-EU pupils in the school produce the need for a larger number of cultural mediators. To encourage the young children from the primary and middle schools to settle in, our school decided to call upon those who know Spanish to begin communicating with the new children and to teach them the rudiments of our language. This project developed so well that the pupils of the school were forced to organize themselves into real professionals, establishing a twofold linguistic and cultural exchange relationship which is the foundation of true integration. They have thus worked as “cultural mediators”, and this has been a real period of training for them which has prepared them for the continuation of studies in cultural mediation at university.
