La formazione esterna per l’apprendistato si trova a dover rispondere alla necessità di sviluppare l’azione formativa coerentemente con i bisogni di un target giovanile molto eterogeneo dal punto di vista psicologico, che generalmente presenta dei livelli di istruzione di base modesti, con carenze di motivazione e risorse personali non sempre adeguate. L'azione didattica rivolta a giovani apprendisti all'interno dell'obbligo formativo si pone dunque l’obiettivo primario di rimotivare gli allievi e di far acquisire loro un set di competenze ritenute oggi indispensabili in qualunque contesto lavorativo, ivi comprese le competenze linguistiche e in ambito tecnologico. L'attività formativa si è prefissa gli obiettivi di: ? valorizzare le competenze di ogni allievo ? offrire la possibilità ad ogni allievo di realizzare collettivamente un prodotto utilizzando anche le apparecchiature informatiche ? sviluppare lo scambio interculturale dei giovani in una prospettiva di collaborazione europea ? favorire l’apprendimento della lingua inglese ed italiana sviluppando anche le “competenze trasversali” mediante simulazione del caso reale ? sviluppare abilità tecniche e capacità per la ricerca di informazioni in rete. ? valutare e certificare le competenze linguistiche. L’interesse crescente per le metodologie innovative nell’ambito dell’insegnamento delle lingue straniere, ha condotto i referenti linguistici del C.F.P.R. “Amendola (struttura formativa regionale) a ricorrere, all'interno del modulo di lingua inglese, alla metodologia d’insegnamento attiva e partecipativa del “Learning by Doing” (simulazione di un ambiente di lavoro reale). La scelta del "compito reale" è ricaduta sul programma di accoglienza/soggiorno per un gruppo di giovani sportivi irlandesi previsto per il torneo di calcio "Mundialito". La scelta del tema conduttore è stata formulata in considerazione del fatto che Salerno, con le sue bellezze naturali e con le sue importanti testimonianze storiche ed artistiche basa la sua economia prevalentemente sul turismo, sul settore terziario e sulla presenza di piccole e medie imprese del settore artigiano.

The town of Salerno, with its natural beauties and outstanding historical artistic heritage, considers tourism, service industries and the presence of small and medium size businesses as the major resources of its economy. The experience aims, precisely, to offer the opportunity: - for the students to abandon their social and cultural isolation; - for the group of Irish youngsters to acquire some knowledge of the local area. The effectiveness of this experiment can be checked in the following sectors: - improvement of linguistic skills; - expansion of cultural horizons; - sharing of interests and experiences.
