La realtà del Comune di Massa per molti anni si è fondata su una economia industriale; a seguito della chiusura di numerose importanti fabbriche, si è reso necessario pensare ad una riconversione dei lavoratori e soprattutto a fornire loro strumenti adeguati in una ottica Europea. Le maggiori esigenze emerse furono quelle di acquisire l’apprendimento di una seconda lingua, l’inglese, insieme all’acquisizione di conoscenze informatiche. Questa richiesta è stata altresì sostenuta in maniera forte dalle stesse scuole del territorio ed espressa soprattutto dai giovani che uscendo dal mondo della scuola si sentivano carenti in merito alla conoscenza di lingua e informatica. Il progetto intende rispondere sia ai fabbisogni linguistici dell’utenza in età non più scolare, al fine di potergli assicurare scelte libere e paritarie nell’ambito della propria vita professionale pur non avendo l’opportunità di apprendere una lingua straniera, sia ai fabbisogni linguistici-formativi dei bambini e dei ragazzi che sentono la necessità di ampliare e approfondire l’apprendimento scolastico delle lingue straniere. Obiettivo del progetto è quello di sviluppare una concreta competenza comunicativa, intesa come capacità di utilizzare operativamente la lingua straniera, in maniera personale, a un livello adeguato all’età e alle reali capacità dell’utente, in modo sufficientemente corretto e adeguato a differenti situazioni di comunicazione, fornendo gli strumenti e le tecniche per creare maggiore autonomia da parte dell’utente nel processo di apprendimento.

In its current structure, the project meets not only the linguistic needs of adult people, who didn’t have the opportunity to study a foreign language but also the linguistic training needs of pupils, who wish to broaden and to enhance their knowledge of foreign languages. The project refers to the following languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Italian as L2, whose linguistic levels are: Beginner, Pre-intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced.
