Il progetto è rivolto agli adolescenti immigrati fra i 13 e i 18 anni. Nelle nostre scuole primarie e secondarie i giovani stranieri sono una realtà in continua crescita; inoltre le comunità educative segnalano una consistente presenza di adolescenti stranieri non accompagnati, di recente immigrazione, che non conoscono la lingua e la realtà della vita quotidiana in una città italiana. Questa situazione rende necessari: • per gli adolescenti stranieri, interventi di orientamento sui codici e i comportamenti richiesti nella quotidianità dalla nuova realtà di immigrazione, di riorientamento scolastico e professionale, di opportunità di socializzazione con i coetanei, di apprendimento dell’italiano come seconda lingua; • per gli operatori, formazione sulle specificità dell’esperienza migratoria in adolescenza e sulle diverse modalità delle relazioni intrafamiliari in altri contesti per facilitare i rapporti con le famiglie straniere. Gli obiettivi di Sesamo sono quindi: • accogliere e orientare i giovani immigrati nel nuovo ambiente in cui si trovano a vivere; • fornire informazioni su contesti di vita reale (scuola, orientamento professionale); • favorire l’apprendimento dell’italiano come L2; • offrire uno strumento di supporto all’azione di docenti, operatori sociali, mediatori di comunità.

The project, for immigrants teenagers, uses the metaphor of a journey through an Italian town, where the youth can explore various contexts. The students take part in the planning process and experiment, through the direct involvement, the game and the use of computer technologies.
