L’Europa è una realtà multilinguistica e multiculturale. Perché questa caratteristica sia vissuta come una ricchezza e non come una limitazione, è necessario che ai cittadini dell’Unione Europea siano forniti adeguati strumenti di formazione linguistica. Secondo uno studio della Commissione Europea, oggi solo il 53% degli europei è in grado di parlare un’altra lingua oltre alla propria. Per questo, l’obiettivo proposto a tutti gli Stati membri, prima fra tutti l’Italia, è rappresentato dall’innalzamento di questa percentuale al 100%. L’idea progettuale di Opera Multimedia (editore specializzato nella creazione ed erogazione di contenuti didattici multimediali) e British Institute nasce dal desiderio di utilizzare le potenzialità delle nuove tecnologie per favorire l’apprendimento dell’inglese, un’area strategica per l’integrazione delle diverse realtà europee.

The project aims to use modern computer aids and to encourage both English learning, in order to achieve the integration of different European realities or to offer a linguistic education certified and recognized by the Common European Framework (CEF) according to the three levels: Beginners, Pre-intermediate. Intermediate. The main target group will be adult, able to appreciate and to exploit the project fully.
