sintesi italiano

sintesi inglese

The project aims at enabling university students to improve the quality of their linguistic knowledge as required in trans-national higher education contexts. In particular, the project aims at producing innovative language materials designed by a partnership made up of six universities located in England, The Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Slovak Republic and Spain. The project addresses to mobility students who wish to carry out a university experience abroad and, thus, need to develop essential academic language skills. Activities within the project include the production of on-line language modules which will cover both content and language skills related to the academic environment. The main project outputs are a website containing two modules of eight units, translated in six languages, based on a thematic-oriented approach concerning topics such as “meeting on campus, study skills, academic seminars, oral presentations, CVs” and related to the skills as in the Common European Framework of Reference (Council of Europe 1998). In social terms, the project aims at promoting linguistic and cultural diversity as a means to develop solidarity among young people and knowledge of other countries’ culture.
