sintesi italiano

sintesi inglese

The post-bachelor course in advanced translation techniques, technical writing and documentation (Italian and German) is supported by the Office for Linguistic Issues of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and by the Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators (SSLMIT) of Forlì (University of Bologna). The course aim at satisfying the educational needs in the field of specialised communication and translation, which are more and more required by the field staff. The course focuses on specialised education in research and management of bilingual documental archives, and in translation of specialised documents. It is addressed to people who wanted to specialise or improve their professional skills in scientific communication, in particular referring to the situation in South Tyrol and all border regions between the Italian language and culture and other languages and cultures (mainly German-speaking countries). The participants could chose to attend the whole programme or to take part in single modules only. Positive results in the written tests and the final essay, both during discussion and for the essay itself, are prerequisites for obtaining a course certificate containing an evaluation and, as needed, recognition of ECTS credits. To obtain the certificate of attendance, participants of single modules need to pass the test related to corresponding module. As the course focused on legal translation, a high level of language ability in Italian and German is required and tested through an entrance examination.
