sintesi italiano

sintesi inglese

The Pitagora Mundus Programme is a language and cultural exchange project. In such a context, the Pitagora Mundus Program involves the creation of 10 Schools of Knowledge open to the best skilled, in order to elaborate and promote the study of scientific dynamics and present social politics, through moments of recovering and dissemination the Magno-Grecian, Italic, and Euro-Mediterranean culture. It intends to create a network of 10 schools (called “Schools of Knowledge”), with branches in 10 of the most beautiful towns in Calabria (called “Towns of Knowledge”), connected to 20 study centres which derive the uniting collaboration between Universities, Institutions and Chambers of Commerce in 20 countries of the world, (called “Pythagorical Cities”). The objective is to create, at each School of Knowledge, a course or specializing course – of a duration of 6 months – relative to a particular field which refers to the Pythagorical Knowledge and to present themes of global interest dealing with the latest developments in international politics as recalled in the aims and objectives of Agenda 21 of UN and in the VII framework programme of the UE. Today, 4 Schools of Knowledge have been founded (in the following Calabrian cities: Cosenza, Fuscaldo (CS), Santa Severina (KR), and Spilinga (VV) and have hosted about 400 students from all over the world for the 4-week Full Immersion Italian Language and Culture Courses. Following the Italian language and culture lessons, the students have the opportunity to participate in cultural courses of study dedicated to the Mediterranean diet, Art, and local sustainable development. The programme also includes full immersion foreign language and culture courses for Italian students. Such courses are organized in collaboration with the Institute’s partners abroad and are structured in the following manner: First period (in Italy): 32 hours of foreign language and culture course Second period (Abroad): 4-week Full Immersion course. The courses are organized for adults, professionals or students, who intend to learn a foreign language for personal, study or work reasons.
