sintesi italiano

sintesi inglese

The Square project is inserted in several contexts, from the public schools to the professional formation. In the public schools that have become “The Square” centres, the method is used as an integrative system to help students to learn quickly and efficiently. The course foresees the formation of teachers who then use the method and the textbooks in the classroom. Regarding the professional formation, “The Square “ method is appreciated as a tool to reduce the time that is needed for the adult to apprehend, with the aim to facilitate his integration in the professional world. The project “The Square” is the visualization of the base concept of English grammar. It consists of the following tools: the mathematic formula of the English language presented in the poster “Question System” (cm 140x90), the book “The Square Method”, published also in Braille by the U.I.C. (Italian Union for the Blind), and in which the poster interpretation is explained, 5 elementary school text books, “Fill in The Square”, a method for the professional formation activities and divided in didactic schemes through an electronic format, and finally, “Teacher Form Up”, an electronic format tool that is essential for the formation of the teachers who use the project “The Square” The Square is an innovative tool for teaching and learning. It can be integrated with other teaching methods and makes study more effective. It allows teachers to choose appropriate teaching materials, exercises (gap fill, reading, dictation, multiple choice, questions & answers, etc.) and multimedia activities (watching films in English, listening to songs, crosswords & puzzles, role play, etc.) which are necessary for: - improving linguistic skills (writing, reading, listening, comprehension, conversation, pronunciation) at the levels established by the Council of Europe (A1 – A2 – B1 – B2 – C1 – C2); - presenting the various cultures of the English language; - extending students’ vocabulary based on individual needs; selecting that which is nearest to the desired teaching and learning styles, so as to make learning fun and to foster the acquisition of the desired language level faster and more effectively.
