sintesi italiano

sintesi inglese

A survey conducted by the teachers in the school showed a wide gap between some students - not very many - who could afford summer language courses or language study periods abroad, and the great majority of students unable to study abroad. It was therefore decided to seek a practical solution open to all from the economic point of view and in accordance with equal opportunities. The project was aimed both at achieving a profound cultural value with regard to language learning, and at providing a valid communication and socialising activity within a Europe of which the students are an integral part, and will continue to be in the future. This involved the identification of six towns in European suited to hosting the students. All of the participants were able to choose the location for the language study periods, based on the costs and their own resources. The courses were held by mothertongue teachers in collaboration with the teachers of the Genoa upper-secondary school and provided the opportunity for specialised-language learning, for example in the tourist and business area, and more generally, for acquiring a type of phraseology suitable to everyday life.
