Da una ricerca sull’attitudine all’internazionalizzazione delle PMI è emersa l’esigenza di istituire un corso universitario in grado di formare degli specialisti in Commercio Estero nel quale fosse attuato un insegnamento ad hoc, specificamente mirato agli operatori del commercio internazionale, di due lingue straniere di particolare rilievo per l’attività internazionale delle PMI piemontesi (inglese e tedesco). Il Corso di Laurea in Commercio Estero, attivato dalla Facoltà di Economia dell’Università di Torino, si propone di formare laureati dotati di una concreta preparazione pratica e capacità di operare direttamente nell’ambito di culture e mercati diversi; a tal scopo il progetto mira a perfezionare la comprensione scritta e soprattutto l’espressione orale delle lingue, nonché la padronanza del linguaggio commerciale e giuridico proprio dei rapporti di scambio transnazionale. Intende altresì sviluppare negli studenti capacità relazionali adatte ai singoli mercati di sbocco per le PMI piemontesi, proponendo tra l’altro una formazione di mediatore economico-culturale tramite corsi di Sociologia delle relazioni transnazionali, negoziazione e di Crosscultural management.

The project aims at providing specific language training for students, planning the teaching of two languages, English and German, which are of particular importance for the international activity of SMEs in Piemonte region, and thus specifically targeted for workers in international trade and in the import-export sector. In the future, the project will also be extended to French and Spanish languages. The project intends to foster as well written and oral expression, the knowledge of commercial and legal language related to transnational trade, and to develop relational abilities required by the market outlets of SMEs in Piemonte region, likewise proposing courses of sociology of international relations and cross-cultural management.
